Case Study - Cardiff University

Designer Flooring Ltd was commissioned to deliver new flooring to the seating area, staircases and IT room in the chemistry building.

Our team uplifted the existing carpet tiles due to wear and stains and fitted polysafe wood fx safety flooring in two big squares, with a ramp edge around the perimeter to prevent a trip hazard and create a frame look around the seating area. To deliver a feature in the waiting room, we cut out a section of flooring and placed the Cardiff University emblem made from vinyl flooring.

In the IT room, existing old vinyl tiles were replaced with new non-slip anti-static flooring and welded seams to make a clean surface. Fast-set rapid patch was used on the step vinyl with new aluminium stair nosings as the building staircase is in use at all times.

The job was delivered to deadline and budget and Cardiff University were happy with the finished
